Symptoms

Assume that you use Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) in Multidimensional mode. When you process a SSAS database or cube, you may notice that the SSAS service crashes.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:

Cumulative Update 1 for SQL Server 2017

Cumulative Update 9 for SQL Server 2016 RTM

Cumulative Update 6 for SQL Server 2016 SP1

Cumulative Update 7 for SQL Server 2014 SP2
