KB4054035 - FIX: Error 213 when you merge or split a partition of a partitioned graph table in SQL Server 2017 on Linux or Windows

Symptoms

Assume that you use partitioned graph tables in SQL Server 2017 on Linux or Windows. When you merge or split a partition, such as by using the ALTER PARTITION FUNCTION statement and the partition is not empty, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

Msg 213, Level 16, State 1, Line 18

Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition.

Resolution

This fix is included in Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2017.
