KB4480640 - FIX: Server crashes when you cancel DBCC CHECKDB against a large database in SQL Server 2016


Assume that you have a large database in Microsoft SQL Server 2016. When you run the DBCC CHECKDB command against the database and cancel it, you will notice that the session is in KILLED/ROLLBACK status. Additionally, this situation will last infinitely until you restart the SQL service.


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
