Symptoms
Assume that you connect to Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Analysis Service (SSAS 2014) with Power BI Desktop. When you run a DISCOVER_CSDL_METADATA command against the cube and retrieve metadata for a table or dimension, you may receive the following error message in SSAS profiler:

Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
