Symptoms
When you use the Extended Event (XE) sql_statement_post_compile in SQL Server 2017, you notice that the object_name field is not populated when you collect statements initial compilation ([is_recompile = 0]), even though you requested the collection of object names through "set collect_object_name=(1)".
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
