KB4520739 - FIX: Access violation error occurs when you try to insert results of stored procedure into a table with dynamic data masking in SQL Server 2016 and 2017

Symptoms

When you try to insert the results of a stored procedure into a table with dynamic data masking in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or 2017, you may notice that SQL Server generates an Access violation error.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
