Symptoms
Assume that you create In-Memory Online Transaction processing (OLTP) database or Hekaton database in Microsoft SQL Server 2016. When you run getHKTable function to get the Hekaton database, you may receive an assertion error. Additionally, dump files may be generated.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
