Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
Assume that you install PolyBase scale-out groups on an instance of SQL Server 2019.
-
You configure PolyBase on the head node, create an external data source and an external table.
-
You run a query against the external table.
In this situation, you add a compute node to the scale-out group and run the same query as above, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot execute the query "Remote Query" against OLE DB provider "MSOLEDBSQL" for linked server "(null)".
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process.
(provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.)
