Symptoms

Assume that you have a Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package that has multiple parallel tasks internally, and each of these tasks shares a same connection manager. When an expression is used for both connection string and password of the connection manager, you notice that an intermittent connection error that resembles the following description occurs:

DateTime Logon       Login failed for user 'XXXX'. Reason: Password did not match that for the login provided. [CLIENT: <local machine>]

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
