Symptoms
The SAP adapter does not connect to SAP servers if passwords contain some special characters, such as a slash ( \ ). Additionally, the following error message is generated:
The Messaging Engine failed to add a receive location "******" with URL "sap ://************" to the adapter "WCF-SAP".
Reason: "Microsoft.ServiceModel.Channels.Common.ConnectionException: Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon) ---> SAP.Middleware.Connector.RfcLogonException: Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon) ---> SAP.Middleware.Connector.RfcAbapMessageException: Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This problem is fixed in the following cumulative update for BizTalk Server:
