Symptoms
Assume that you use the WCF-Oracle receive location combined with Oracle 18c or later versions to call an Oracle PL/SQL package that returns complex objects, such as nested structures or REF objects. The following error message might be generated at runtime when the receive location is enabled:
Microsoft.ServiceModel.Channels.Common.MetadataException: Retrieval of Operation Metadata has failed while building WSDL at '<Namespace>' ---> System.NotSupportedException: Specified method is not supported.
The same error might also occur when you use the Consume Adapter Service to generate a schema in Visual Studio.
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This problem is fixed in the following cumulative update for BizTalk Server:
