Improvements and fixes

This update improves translations of timeline date formats in the Finnish language of Project 2016.

It also fixes the following issues:

• If you type notes on the Notes page which is accessed through the Update Tasks form, the notes aren't saved.

• Consider the following scenario:

• • A user goes to Windows Explorer and clicks on a file in order to directly open it in Project.

  • While the first user has the file open, another user opens the same project.

In this situation, the subsequent user sees a message that states "<File Name> is locked for editing by ' '. " The user name that already has the file opened should appear in the message but does not.

• The Wrap Text function doesn't always automatically adjust row heights to enlarge cells as expected.

• Importing resources to Project Server fails with an "An error occurred during import" error message. In some cases, you also see an "An enterprise calendar must be chosen for this resource" message for certain resources in the "Errors" column on the Validation Resources page of the import wizard.

• After you replace a completed enterprise resource with a local resource, Project crashes while you save the project.

Windows 10

1. Go to Start, enter View Installed Updates in the Search Windows box, and then press Enter.

2. In the list of updates, locate and select KB4484116, and then select Uninstall.

Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then select Search. If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then select Search.

2. Enter windows update, select Windows Update, and then select Installed Updates.

3. In the list of updates, locate and select KB4484116, and then select Uninstall.

Windows 7

1. Go to Start, enter Run, and then select Run.

2. Enter Appwiz.cpl, and then select OK.

3. Select View installed updates.

4. In the list of updates, locate and select KB4484116, and then select Uninstall.
