SUMMARY

This article describes howPurchase Order Numbers areconverted from Manufacturing R5.5 to R6.0.

MORE INFORMATION

The purchase order numbers assigned to manufacturing purchase orders will be reused for eEnterprise purchase orders, except in the following situations:

On-hold lines

Separate eEnterprise purchase orders will be created for Manufacturing purchase order lines that were on hold. Those new eEnterprise purchase orders will be assigned the next available purchase order numbers.

Character length

If the Manufacturing purchase order number is longer than 17 characters, the converted purchase orders will be assigned the next available purchase order numbers.

Duplicate purchase order numbers

If a Manufacturing purchase order number can't be assigned to the converted eEnterprise purchase order because the number is already used, the new purchase order will be assigned the next available purchase order number.

In all three situations, the comment ID field for these new eEnterprise purchase orders will be From MPOP, and the Manufacturing purchase order number will be stored in the note attached to the purchase order.
