Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • In Internet Explorer 11, you have an item that contains a scrollbar.

  • You change the visibility property of the item from visible to invisible (for example, to hidden), and you change the display property from display to none.

  • The scrollbar position of the container is moved.

In this scenario, the scrollbar position is reset after the settings of the visibility property and the display property are reverted to visible and display, respectively.

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.
