How to determine whether the update is installed

To determine the update is installed on the computer, follow these steps, as appropriate for the operating system that you are running.Windows8

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. Or, if you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.

  2. In the Apps box, type Windows update, tap or click Setting, and then tap or click View installed updates.

  3. Examine the list for Update KB982726. If the update is in the list, note its Install On date.

Note To uninstall this update, locate and click update KB982726, and then click Uninstall.Windows 7

  1. Click Start , type appwiz.cpl in the Search programs and files box, and then press Enter.

  2. Click View installed updates.

  3. In the list of updates, locate update KB982726.

  4. If update KB982726 is in the list of updates, the update is installed successfully on the computer.
