INTRODUCTION

Service Update 6 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online 9.1.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 6.

Please note that our naming conventions have changed to clarify the link between the version number and service update.  For example, Service Update 6  will correspond to version number 06XX.  Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all the associated fixes will be rolled into the next Service Update, thus Service Update numbers will not always increase incrementally.

Performance Improvements

The following list details issues whose resolutions improve the speed or functionality of Dynamics.

  • Reduced UserWall loading time.

Unexpected Behavior

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions performed in Dynamics that do not work as intended.

  • In some non-English organizations, a number of buttons in the command bar displayed in English.

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

  • When "All Public Queues" was selected in the Unified Client grid, and the public queues exceeded 3,000 entries, the grid failed to load a "The uniform resource identifier string is too long." error.

  • The "Rollup" field value did not refresh when the recalculate button was selected.

  • System charts we not visible in Dashboards.'

  • Some cases within the charts pane were not be displayed.

  • Content deleted from a field in a business process flow form repopulated when the form was saved, then disappeared again when the page was refreshed.

  • The Activity Editor Control did not load when an email was selected in the Activities portion of Unified Client.

  • Hyperlinks included in sent emails did not function and could not be selected.

  • Option set fields could not be mapped during data imports.

  • Roll-up field failed to auto-refresh, requiring users to select the refresh button next to the field.

  • When saving a new appointment, the dialog box alerting users to conflicting appointments failed to appear.

  • Newly created options over the qualifying button were not visible in sales hub on the lead form.

  • Multi-select options could not be selected in Unified Client.

  • Locations could not be opened in SharePoint when a note for the record was created beforehand.

  • Queue item seaches produced no results.

  • Users were unable to view or modify “System Settings” within “Administration Settings.”

  • Case templates were unavailable in the Sales Hub.

  • When opening an Excel file in Internet Explorer directly, the browser was not providing an option to download the file.

Error Messages, Exceptions, and Failures 

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

  • Errors appeared repeatedly when documents were attached to notes.

  • An error was returned when adding a new "required attendee" for appointments.

  • An error occurred when attempting to save changes made to the Contract (Order) form.

  • In non-English organizations, an error occurred when selecting an entity in the Marketing application.

  • Users would receive an error when attempting to save cases when the business process flow “Phone to Case process” was disabled,

  • Details were missing from Exceptions displayed in error dialog windows.

  • An error occurred when deleting a managed solution.

  • An error occurred when executing a RetrieveDataEncryptionKeyRequest request with a sandbox plugin.

  • Account and Opportunity views errored out when switching between offline and online modes.

  • An error occurred when importing a managed solutions.

  • An error occurred when FCB.OrToUnion was enabled while running a quickfind query containing a filter.

  • An error occurred when executing a RetrieveDataEncryptionKeyRequest request with a sandbox plugin.
