To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

  1. Change the code in the PostConsumption function in the Item Jnl.-Post Line codeunit (22) as follows:
    Existing code

    ...
    TempHandlingSpecification.SETRANGE("Serial No.",ItemJnlLine."Serial No.");
    TempHandlingSpecification.SETRANGE("Lot No.",ItemJnlLine."Lot No.");
    LastLoop := FALSE;

    // Delete the following line.
    END;

    REPEAT
    IF UseItemTrackingApplication THEN BEGIN
    ...

    Replacement code 1

    ...
    TempHandlingSpecification.SETRANGE("Serial No.",ItemJnlLine."Serial No.");
    TempHandlingSpecification.SETRANGE("Lot No.",ItemJnlLine."Lot No.");
    LastLoop := FALSE;

    // Add the following lines.
    END ELSE
    IF ReservationExists(ItemJnlLine) THEN BEGIN
    IF SNRequired THEN
    ERROR(Text015,ItemJnlLine."Item No.");
    IF LotRequired THEN
    ERROR(Text016,ItemJnlLine."Item No.");
    END;
    // End of the added lines.

    REPEAT
    IF UseItemTrackingApplication THEN BEGIN
    ...
  2. Add a new ReservationExists function in the Item Jnl.-Post Line codeunit (22) as follows:

    LOCAL PROCEDURE ReservationExists@100(ItemJnlLine@1000 : Record 83) : Boolean;
    VAR
    ReservEntry@1001 : Record 337;
    ProductionOrder@1002 : Record 5405;
    BEGIN
    WITH ReservEntry DO BEGIN
    SETRANGE("Source ID",ItemJnlLine."Prod. Order No.");
    IF ItemJnlLine."Prod. Order Comp. Line No." <> 0 THEN
    SETRANGE("Source Ref. No.",ItemJnlLine."Prod. Order Comp. Line No.");
    SETRANGE("Source Type",DATABASE::"Prod. Order Component");
    SETRANGE("Source Subtype",ProductionOrder.Status::Released);
    SETRANGE("Source Batch Name",'');
    SETRANGE("Source Prod. Order Line",ItemJnlLine."Prod. Order Line No.");
    SETFILTER("Qty. to Handle (Base)",'<>0');
    EXIT(NOT ISEMPTY);
    END;
    END;
