Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have a computer that is running Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3. You have Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, or Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 installed.
-
You configure the reporting service point role on the computer, and then you upgrade SQL Server to Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
-
You view the properties of the server node under the reporting service point console.
In this scenario, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) does not work. Therefore, the properties data does not display as expected, and you cannot perform any operations on the reports. For example, you cannot create, edit, or import reports.
Note If you do not configure the reporting service point role on this computer before you upgrade the SQL Server to SQL Server 2012, you cannot configure the reporting service point role on the computer successfully.Resolution
To resolve this issue, install the following hotfix package on the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3 site server.
