Sometimes when you're searching online with Edge, you get lengthy pages that you don't have time to read. No problem! With Microsoft 365 Copilot in Edge, you can get a quick summary.

Perhaps you're headed to a meeting with clients who just published a new research paper. You'd like to understand the basics of the research so you can mention it when you arrive. Just find the research in Edge, ask Copilot to summarize it, and when you arrive, you can show your clients that you're interested and aware of their work.

Try it!

  1. In Edge, open the page you want to summarize.

  2. Select the Screenshot shows image of Copilot icon.Copilot icon in the upper right corner to open the Copilot chat pane on the sidebar.

  3. Select the Work tab.

  4. In the chat pane, type a prompt like "Summarize this page". Shows a Copilot chat pane in Edge, with a summary of a long web page, and another question about the content added in the chat below.

Tip: After Copilot summarizes your page you can ask more questions, or get more info, by using the Chat pane in the sidebar.
