Assume that you synced a contact record in Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Office Outlook. When you update the contact record from Outlook and then run the Outlook synchronization to synchronize with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the synchronization does not consider the foreign characters in the city name. The foreign characters in the city name for the contact record are not synced to Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

This problem occurs in the following products:

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1 with Update 2 installed

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1
