The RTCLocal database is rolled back to the RTM version after you uninstall the Lync Server 2013 (July 2013) Cumulative Update if the Feb 2013 CU was installed

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You install the Lync Server 2013 (February 2013) Cumulative Update on the Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition - Front End, or Edge Servers.

  • You install the Lync Server 2013 (July 2013) Cumulative Update on the Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition - Front End, or Edge Servers

  • You uninstall the Lync Server 2013 (July 2013) Cumulative Update on the Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition - Front End, or Edge Servers.

In this scenario, the RTCLocal database is rolled back to the RTM version of the RTCLocal database.

Resolution

To revert the Lync Server 2013 Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition – Front End, or Edge Servers to the Lync Server 2013 (February 2013) Cumulative Update installation, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall all instances of the Lync Server 2013 (February 2013) Cumulative Update.

Note This reverts all Lync Server 2013 components except the RTCLocal database to the Lync Server 2013 (February 2013) Cumulative Update installation. The RTCLocal database is, instead, rolled back to the RTM version of the Lync Server 2013 RTCLocal database.

  2. To update the RTCLocal database to the Lync Server 2013 (February 2013) Cumulative Update version, run the following command:

    Install-CsDatabase –LocalDatabases –Update
