Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat​​​​​​​ makes translating text easier and faster than ever before. With just a few simple steps, you can get accurate and contextually appropriate translations to meet your needs. But this isn’t just generic translation—you can use the chat to get just the kind of translation you need. 
Translate a file into another language using Copilot Chat

Go to Copilot Chat and sign in with your Microsoft 365 work or school account.

Add the content you want Copilot to translate. You can upload or attach a document in one of the following ways:

Type / and find the document you want to translate in the sources menu.

Select (+)Â Add content or agents, select Add content, then scroll and select the document you want to translate.

In the Message Copilot prompt box, tell Copilot​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ what you want it to translate and any additional details you wish to include.
 Here are some example prompts to get you started:

Ask for multiple versions—say something like:
Translate the included text into [language] using a [casual] tone and [conversational] writing style. Ensure the original meaning is preserved. Provide two versions: a simplified translation and an expert translation. -
Translate ad copy into multiple languages—say something like:
Help me translate copy into different languages listed in [document name]. Use this ad copy “Escape the ordinary and dive into summer bliss - book your dream vacation today!". -
Summarize and translate in one request—say something like:
Summarize this document in [language] from [country] and help me understand the main points.
