Transparent graphic elements are filled when printed as XPS to a Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2 Version 4 printer driver

Symptoms

You print a document that contains transparent graphic elements that are adjacent to non-transparent graphic elements to a Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2 Version 4 printer driver. In some cases, the XPS/OpenXPS page content for the document's transparent graphics is created incorrectly. This causes transparent graphic elements to have a solid fill when they are printed.

Cause

This problem occurs because of incorrect calculations.
