Summary

Unidrv PCL5 printer driver renders fonts in graphics when document is printed in 2 UP or Booklet. For 2 Up and Booklet printing, the pages are rotated by 90 degrees. The fonts used in the page will be converted to graphics instead of using outline or bitmap. Use of graphics for the fonts may increase the size of the printer binary file sent to the printer for printing the document. This behavior has the potential of decreasing performance with respect to time to print.

More Information

This behavior is by design in Unidrv PCL5 printer driver. The Unidrv PCLXL printer driver does not have this problem.
