Update a Microsoft account payment method
If your name, billing address, expiration date, or CVV number has changed for your payment method, you can update it.
How to edit payment information in your Microsoft personal account

Sign in to your Payment options at account.microsoft.com/billing/paymentsSign in
Tip: If you can't sign in, see I can't sign in to my Microsoft account.

Find the payment method you want to update, and then select View or edit card.

Enter your updated info, and then select Save.

Sign in to your Xbox One console with your Microsoft account. If you can't sign in, try troubleshooting issues with your Microsoft account.

Press the Xbox  button on your controller to open the guide.

Select System > Settings  > Account >Payment & billing.

On the Payment options screen, find the payment method you want to update, and then select Edit info.

Enter your updated info, and then select Save.

About Payment methods
Payment methods for business purchases are linked to your billing profile in Microsoft 365 admin center, not to a personal Microsoft account. You need a Work account with billing permissions to manage payment methods.Â
Add or change a payment method
During checkout
The easiest way to add a payment method is during your first purchase:
Proceed to checkout.Â

In the Payment section, select Add or Change a payment method. If this option isn’t available, check with your administrator to request changes or access to billing permissions.

Enter your payment details and billing address

Save your changes.
Update an existing payment method in Microsoft 365 admin centerÂ
Authorized users can update details like the expiration date, billing address, or name on an existing payment method.

Go to Billing, then Payment methods.

If you have access, you can update your payment methods and Save your changes.
Troubleshooting
My payment was declined

Verify your payment details are correct.

Confirm your billing address matches your payment provider's records.

Check that your bank or payment provider isn't blocking the transaction.

Make sure you have sufficient funds or credit.
I don't see the option to add or edit payment methods
You may not have billing permission. Contact your IT administrator for billing access.Â
