Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

You join a peer-to-peer instant message conversation in Microsoft Lync 2013.
You select all instant messages, and then you paste them into an Office application or a Notepad document.

In this scenario, before you install the update, the pasted message is displayed in the following format:

After you install the update, the pasted message is displayed in the following format:
