This article describes an update that includes the December 2013 and August 2014 cumulative time zone updates for Windows Embedded Compact 2013. Before you install the update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

This update changes the time zone data to accommodate the daylight saving time (DST) changes in several countries in Windows Embedded Compact 2013.
The changes that are included in December 2013 cumulative are as follows:

  • Mid-Atlantic Time:
The Mid-Atlantic time zone is deprecated in this update.

  • Morocco Standard Time:
Morocco extends the 2013 DST end date from September 29, 2013 to October 27, 2013. Beginning in 2014, the DST period in Morocco begins at 2:00 A.M. on the last Sunday in March, and ends at 3:00 A.M. on the last Sunday in October.

  • Libya Standard Time:
Libya does not end DST in 2013. From 2014, it stays at UTC+2 without DST.

  • Fiji Standard Time:
Fiji changes its DST end date in 2014 from January 26 to January 19. For more information, see A hotfix is available to update the Daylight Saving Time for the "(UTC+12:00) Fiji" time zone for Windows Operating Systems.

The changes that are included in August 2014 cumulative are as follows:
