Here's how to remove the 500-millisecond (msec) time limit for WebGL frame in Internet Explorer 11 after installation:

Important Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restorationin case problems occur.

  1. Go to Registry Editor, locate and then select one of the following registry subkeys:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

  2. Press and hold (or right-click) Configuration, select New, and then select DWORD (32-bit) Value.

  3. Name the new registry entry as EnableWebGLPerformanceMonitor.

  4. Double-click the EnableWebGLPerformanceMonitorregistry entry.

  5. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, enter 0 in the Value data field, and then select OK.

  6. Exit Registry Editor.

Note After you install this update, Internet Explorer would still be subject to the 2000-milliseconds frame time limit.
