If you switch to a different citation style while using the similarity checker, that style applies to new citations, but citations you previously added will remain in the previous style. To fix them, you'll need to delete the citations and add them again.

  1. Select Similarities reviewed in the Editor pane. Passages that you have reviewed are marked with a green underline.Click or tap Similarities reviewed in the similarity checker (Editor pane).

  2. Go to a passage that you cited previously.

  3. Delete the citation by editing the document text.

  4. Select inside the green-underlined passage to see the suggestions.

  5. Choose Add in-text citation to add a citation in the new style.
