GroupMe is a group messaging app designed for chatting with friends, family, or colleagues. It enables easy communication through text, images, videos, and emojis. You can also find and join groups that match your interests, including those nearby and on your campus. For additional information, go to What is GroupMe?
Use GroupMe for iOS with VoiceOver, the built-in iOS screen reader. VoiceOver provides spoken feedback to users, allowing them to navigate through the GroupMe interface, read messages, send messages, and interact with various features of the app.

Sign in to your account
To sign-in and access your GroupMe account, follow these steps:

Press the Home button (or swipe up from the bottom of the screen on devices without a Home button) to return to the home screen.

Navigate through the home screen by swiping left or right with one finger.

Locate the GroupMe app on the home screen by swiping left or right, then double-tap to open it.
-
Double-tap the Sign-in button to access the sign-in page.

Double-tap the Email or phone number button to be able to input your sign-in credentials.
-
Double-tap the Email address or phone number and enter your email address or phone number associated with your GroupMe account.

Double-tap the Password box to enter your password.
-
Then, double-tap the Continue button.
Key elements of the GroupMe home page
Top bar
The top bar has the following elements that enable you to manage your contacts, share QR codes, and conduct searches.

Add contact: This element allows you to access your GroupMe contacts, and find and invite new contacts. You can also use the Search icon to search quickly for a contact or the Camera icon to scan a QR code for a contact.

Display QR code: This element allows you to generate and share your unique QR code, making it easier for people to connect with you on GroupMe.
Bottom bar
The bottom bar of the screen provides the options to manage chats, discover new features, and access your profile and settings.

Select your chats: This option allows you to navigate your chat list to view and manage your conversations with contacts or groups.

Discoverable groups: Explore and join trending groups based on your interests, including nearby and campus groups within the GroupMe community.

To find campus groups, you’ll need your school email address. Your school information and chats are private and won't be shared.

Profile and settings: Access your profile and settings to customize your profile, manage account preferences, and adjust app settings.

Profile: Add your photo, edit your name, bio, and account information, share your GroupMe profile, connect to Facebook, export your data, and delete the account.

Archive: Access archived chats and group conversations. Use the Rejoin button to rejoin archived groups.

Sign in to your account
To sign-in and access your GroupMe account, follow these steps:

Open the GroupMe app on your Android device.

Double-tap the Sign-in button to access the sign-in page.

Double-tap the Email or phone number button to be able to input your sign-in credentials.

Double-tap the Log-in box and enter the email address associated with your GroupMe account.

Double-tap the Password box to enter your password.
-
Then, double-tap the Continue button.
Note: If you’re logging in for the first time the app may prompt you to sync contacts. Double-tap the OK button to let GroupMe sync the contacts from your phone.

Sign in to your account
To access your GroupMe account, follow these steps:

Go to GroupMe in your web browser.

Use the Tab key until you hear “Sign in.” Then, press Enter to access the sign-in page.

Press Tab and input your email address and password linked to GroupMe or choose any other sign-in method: Microsoft, Facebook, or Apple.

Press Tab to reach Log in and press Enter.

Key elements on the home page include:

Toggle Chats: This element allows you to expand or collapse the GroupMe chat pane. Your screen reader announces the status of the toggle.

Chats: Access your chats in the chat pane to communicate with your contacts or groups.

The Start a new chat button in the chat pane gives you the following options: Start Group, Start Direct Message, and Start Announcement Group.

Discover Groups: Explore and join new groups based on your interests, including nearby and campus groups. You can also search for a group using the Search box.

Settings: Customize GroupMe settings including notifications and message preferences.

Feedback: This option allows you to provide anonymous feedback to help improve GroupMe.

When you select this tab, the Feedback dialog opens. Type your feedback in the edit box and avoid including personal and sensitive information.

Navigate and activate the Send button to send the feedback.
