IssueVB error 48 occurs when attempting to run VBA code that references the Word Object Library.ResolutionUnfortunately, the error is not specific as to what DLL is the problem here. Since the error did not occur until the Word Object Library was referenced, we suspected something with the MS Word installation. In this particular case, it turned out that the customer had a third party program installed that installed an older version of the MSWORD.OLB file and registered itself in the registry. Once we removed this application and re-installed MS Office, the correct version of MSWORD.OLB was registered and then the error no longer occured. This article was TechKnowledge Document ID:27149
