Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You deploy a Hyper-V host that is running Windows Server 2012 R2 and a virtual switch in a virtual environment.

  • You use System Center 2012 R2 Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) to manage the virtual network.

  • You configure the Hyper-V Network Virtualization (HNV) together with a private address virtual local area network (VLAN) in the environment.

  • Then you enable VLAN tagging and third-party forwarding extension on the switch.

In this scenario, the connectivity in the virtual network is lost.
