Symptoms
Assume that you cannot configure the disjoint IP address by using network cmdlets after the interface disconnects. In this situation, you encounter the following issues:

A race condition occurs on a Windows Server 2012 R2-based cluster.

The cluster resource encounters an unrecoverable state.
-
You cannot add the resource by using the enable-hcsnetinterface data1 PowerShell commands.
-
You cannot delete the resource by using the disable-hcsnetinterface data1 PowerShell commands.
Resolution
