Copy a custom theme to another drawing

Note

Custom themes are not available in Visio 2013 and later versions.

  1. Open the drawing that has the custom theme that you want to copy.
  2. Select a shape with the custom theme applied.
  3. Copy the drawing.
  4. Open the drawing where you want to copy the custom theme to .
  5. Paste the drawing. The custom theme is added to the Themes task pane.
  6. You can now delete any shapes that are in the drawing you pasted.

Note

You cannot copy a theme from another Office program, such as PowerPoint or Word, to Visio. You also cannot copy a theme from Visio to another Office program.
