If settings are on and you are signed in, try switching the Spotlight settings off and then on again.
-
Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.
-
Change Background to something other than Windows spotlight (Picture or Slideshow)
-
A toggle called Get fun facts, tips, and more should now appear. Turn that off.
-
Lock the screen, then wait a while. You can use the computer normally. Reboot if possible.
-
Go back to lock screen settings (as you did in step 1) and change Background back to Spotlight.
-
Lock the screen, then wait a while for content to refresh.
The system is built to detect and resolve problems itself. However, it might take a day or two to start the recovery processes. Waiting for it to fix itself is the best solution. I suggest waiting a few days and see if the problem goes away.
