You can uninstall Lync from your Mac so you don't see it on your Dock in a few easy steps.

To uninstall Lync from your Mac

  1. To remove the Lync icon A picture of the Lync icon that appears on your dock. from your Dock, sign out of Lync.

    To stop the Lync application, choose Sign out.

  2. Close the Lync sign in page.

  3. Press Control and click A picture of the Lync icon that appears on your dock. at the same time. Choose Quit.

  4. Open Finder > Applications. Scroll to Microsoft Lync. Drag and drop it into the Trash.
