Some specific models of Android devices may experience issues with adding or syncing mail in Outlook when another Microsoft application is installed. This can generally be fixed by changing your Android device settings: 

  • If you're using power-saving mode, turn it off and change the settings to allow the app to launch other apps.

    For Huawei devices, the setting can be found in Phone Manager > Auto-launch > Secondary launch management > Enable Authenticator/Company Portal. 

    For other devices, you may need to consult with the device vendor.

  • Disable power optimization for Authenticator/Company Portal so it can continue to run in the background.

  • Open the Authenticator/Company Portal app before you open Outlook to make sure that the Authenticator/Company Portal app is running.
