What is Request to Join in GroupMe and how can I use it?

Request to join is a feature you can use with new and existing groups to help manage who can join your groups. When you turn on Request to join, any contact attempting to join your group via a join link, QR code, or Campus Connect will have to be approved by a group administrator.

Note: Request to Join is available in GroupMe for iOS, Android, and Web.

  5. If you want potential group members to answer a question before joining the group, slide the Ask join question slider to On, then select Custom join question and enter the question you want answered. Select OK.
