Symptoms
Assume that you submit a purchase requisition approval workflow in the Purchase requisitions dialog box in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1). When you try to cancel the submitted purchase requisition approval workflow in the Purchase requisitions dialog box, you receive the following error message:

Invalid message sequence; expected one of the following message types {Acknowledge Task Started Acknowledge Task Completed Acknowledge WorkflowItem Completed,%2,%3}.
Additionally, the status of the purchase requisition approval workflow stays Pending cancellation.

Restart requirement
You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.

Validation of the application hotfix installation
To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
Note The XXXXXX placeholder represents the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
