Narrator supports the following BrailleMemo braille displays on Windows.

Supported BrailleMemo braille displays

BrailleMemo Pocket

Use the following commands with Narrator when using your BrailleMemo Pocket model.

Notes: 

  • The six round keys along the top are a braille keyboard. From left to right, their names are Dot 3, Dot 2, Dot 1, Dot 4, Dot 5, Dot 6.

  • The two keys to the left of Dot 3, from top to bottom, are named Control, Alt.

  • The two keys to the right of Dot 6, from top to bottom, are named Select, Read.

  • The three keys below Dot 1 and Dot 4, from left to right, are named Dot 7, Extension, Dot 8.

  • At the bottom left is a group of four keys arranged in a cross. Starting with the leftmost key and moving clockwise, their names are Arrow Left, Arrow Up, Arrow Right, Arrow Down.

  • A driver implementation constraint requires that some of the bindings refer to the Arrow Left and Arrow Right keys as Pan Left and Pan Right.

  • Some keys are entered by pressing a set of keys simultaneously:

    • Return: Dot 7

    • Space: Dot 8

    • Arrow Up: Extension + Dot 1

    • Arrow Down: Extension + Dot 4

    • Arrow Left: Extension + Dot 2

    • Arrow Right: Extension + Dot 5

    • Insert: Extension + Dot 3

    • Change: Extension + Dot 6

    • Backspace: Extension + Dot 7

    • Delete: Extension + Dot 8

    • Escape: Extension + Arrow Up

    • Info: Extension + Arrow Down

    • Backward: Extension + Arrow Right + Dot 1

    • Forward: Extension + Arrow Right + Dot 4

    • Scroll Left: Extension + Arrow Right + Dot 2

  • The key immediately below Dot 2 is named Backspace.

  • The key immediately below Dot 5 is named Delete.
