Summary

This update adds the following columns to the sys.dm_exec_query_stats  Dynamic Management View (DMV) in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 2 (SP2).

The number of columnstore segments read by the last execution of the query. Cannot be null.

The minimum number of columnstore segments ever read by the query during one execution. Cannot be null.

max_columnstore_segment_reads

bigint

The maximum number of columnstore segments ever read by the query during one execution. Cannot be null.

total_columnstore_segment_skips

bigint

The total sum of columnstore segments skipped by the query. Cannot be null.

last_columnstore_segment_skips

bigint

The number of columnstore segments skipped by the last execution of the query. Cannot be null.

min_columnstore_segment_skips

bigint

The minimum number of columnstore segments ever skipped by the query during one execution. Cannot be null.

max_columnstore_segment_skips

bigint

The maximum number of columnstore segments ever skipped by the query during one execution. Cannot be null.

Service pack information for SQL Server 2016

This update is included in the following service pack for SQL Server:

       Service Pack 2 for SQL Server 2016

Service packs are cumulative. Each new service pack contains all the fixes that are in previous service packs, together with any new fixes. Our recommendation is to apply the latest service pack and the latest cumulative update for that service pack. You do not have to install a previous service pack before you install the latest service pack. Use Table 1 in the following article for finding more information about the latest service pack and latest cumulative update.
