Symptoms
Assume that you have a conversation that has no unread messages before you sign out Microsoft Skype for Business 2016. When you sign in again, you may still find that an orange dot without a count is indicated for the conversation.
Resolution
To fix this issue, install the June 5, 2018, update (KB4022155) for Skype for Business 2016.
