Symptoms
Assume that your display name contains an ampersand (&) character in Microsoft Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013). When you have an instant message (IM) with other users, you may find the "&" character is replaced by the underscore "_" character. This issue occurs only in the IM conversation window.
Resolution
To fix this issue, install the August 7, 2018, update (KB4032250) for Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013).
Note Lync 2013 was upgraded to Skype for Business in April 2015.
