Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You use DCExec in SQL Server 2017 that's running on Windows Server.

In this scenario, you will notice that the DCExec crashes.

Note DCExec is used for the Management Data Warehouse (MDW) as a part of the collector sets which collect and load performance metrics into a management data warehouse for reporting.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
