Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You use DCExec in SQL Server 2017 that's running on Windows Server.

You configure Data Collection from a SQL Server 2017 instance.
In this scenario, you will notice that the DCExec crashes.
Note DCExec is used for the Management Data Warehouse (MDW) as a part of the collector sets which collect and load performance metrics into a management data warehouse for reporting.
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
