Improvements and fixes

This security update adds a new feature for SharePoint Server 2019 End of Support Notification.

This security update also contains fixes for the following nonsecurity issues in SharePoint Server 2019 Language Pack.

  • Fixes an issue in which you cannot rename a file or folder if the URL contains double-byte characters.

  • Fixes an issue in which the left navigation pane or the Quick Launch menu is missing because of missing "version hash" for JavaScript files.

  • Fixes an issue in which the web part renders incorrectly because of lazy loading in modern pages.

  • Fixes an issue in which you cannot set list item properties after you replace a document of the same name.

  • Fixes an issue in which the "people" column (for the Person or Group column type) displays the User ID instead of the name if any required fields are not filled.

Note: To enable the new feature and fix these issues completely, you have to install KB 5002258 together with this update.
