Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You run static SQL packages at the mainframe against the Microsoft Service for Distributed Relational Database Architecture (DRDA).

  • When a static package is bound, the Microsoft Service for DRDA creates a stored procedure on the server that is running SQL Server.

In this scenario, depending on the custom package bind Listener, you may see that stored procedures are created (or dropped) two times. This may decrease performance.

Resolution

The fix that resolves this problem is included in the following cumulative updates for Host Integration Server:

Cumulative Update 2 for Host Integration Server 2016
