Symptoms
Assume that you use Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or 2017 Master Data Services. When you view entity dependencies on the Entity Dependencies explorer page, if an entity contains too many members, only a portion of the members are visible in the tree view. When you click Show More Members, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
An unknown error was encountered. Please contact your Administrator for more information.
Resolution
This fix is included in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:
Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2017
Cumulative Update 5 for SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1.
