Symptoms
When you use the PolyBase Generic ODBC connector to connect to a backend that has either an unsupported quote character or has no quote character in SQL Server 2019, you receive the following error:
Msg 7320, Level 16, State 110, Line LineNumber
Cannot execute the query "Remote Query" against OLE DB provider "MSOLEDBSQL" for linked server "(null)". The given key was not present in the dictionary.
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
