Symptoms
Assume that you create a production order for a bill of material (BOM) type item in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1). You change the item type to BOM for a BOM line item that is included in the corresponding BOM. In this situation, after you run the recalculate inventory process, the realized cost amount for the BOM line item is calculated incorrectly in the production order. Additionally, there are differences between the production cost transactions and the inventory cost transaction.

Validation of the application hotfix installation
To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
Note The XXXXXX placeholder represents the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
