Latest updates for versions of Office that use Windows Installer (MSI)

This article describes update KB3054964 for Microsoft Office 2010 that was released on July 14, 2015. This update has a prerequisite.

Improvements and fixes

  • Enables that all the users who share the same computer receive consistent contextual messages.

  • Fixes the following issues:

    • When you run the Create PDF/XPS Document function for a workbook in Excel 2010, Greek or Cyrillic characters are changed from the MS Gothic font to the Arial font.

    • When you open a document that has the DengXian font in Word 2010 on a non-Chinese locale, the DengXian font is substituted with another font unexpectedly even if the DengXian font is installed on the system.

    • When enterprise customers open an Office 2010 application on a computer that is configured to use basic authentication, they might be prompted for credentials.

Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. If you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.

  2. Type windows update, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click View installed updates in the search results.

  3. In the list of updates, locate and then tap or click update KB3054964, and then tap or click Uninstall.

Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.

  2. Type Appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.

  3. Use one of the following procedures, depending on the operating system that you are running.

    • Windows 7 and Windows Vista

      1. Click View installed updates.

      2. In the list of updates, locate and then click update KB3054964, and then click Uninstall.

    • Windows XP

      1. Click to select the Show updates check box.

      2. In the list of updates, locate and then click update KB3054964, and then click Remove.
